Happy Valentine’s Day, Everyone!

Did your sweetie spoil you with breakfast in bed, flowers and chocolate? I hope so. And I also hope you’re having a fantastic day.

And since today we celebrate love and make/receive presents here my gift to you. I’m delighted to reveal the cover for my new historical drama titled BORN IN SIN (release date TBA).

FINAL-low resolution for web

Is this not gorgeous? I never believed in love at first sight until I saw this drawing by the incredible german artist Eve Ventrue. She creates covers for several authors among them J.S. Chancellor,  Amber Argyle,  and Suze Reese. She also collaborates with Applibot Inc. Japan for the “Legend of the Cryptids” and KLab Inc. Japan as well.

Eve’s talent is out of this world–no exaggeration. If angels walk among us, Eve is one of them. Never saw so much raw emotions encompassed in a drawing as in Eve’s art. Her portfolio can be found here. When I contacted her I have to admit that I was beyond nervous if she’d say yes to my offer. Several email later Eve agreed to sell me the drawing and here it is. I hope one day to interview her and reveal more of her work.

As for the story, for those of you familiar with my short story I Was Here–Before You Came published under Prose by Design‘s umbrella, you might recall along with Ilias, the main hero, five other brave men joined him in his quest for revenge against Emperor Traianus. BORN IN SIN is Zyraxes’ story.

BLURB:

Loathing the thought of his beloved Oriana in the arms of another man, fearless Zyraxes delivers death upon the Roman enemy. With only the rugged land as his bed and the sky as his blanket, trouble finds him often.

Summoned to aid Oriana’s father in the war against two powerful enemies—one of them Oriana’s savage husband—Zyraxes proves himself worthy of more than just noble titles and coin. But he wants none of it. What he wants is her.

When Zyraxes discovers a broken and nearly dead Oriana, though forbidden, he disregards her father’s orders to leave her to her death, and instead chooses to protect and conceal her. Will saving her be enough to win her heart? Will his part royal lineage make him worthy of her love?

I would absolutely love to hear your opinions about both the cover and the blurb. Like it/ hate it? Interesting/boring? What do you think?
